Seth Miller is the new chief revenue officer at the life settlement provider.

Seth Miller, a former Transamerica Life Insurance Co. executive, is the new chief revenue officer of Abacus Life Inc. (ABL).

The Orlando, Fla.-based life settlement provider, said Monday, Aug. 14, that Miller was hired to continue developing relationships with life insurance and wealth-management firms.

He has 25 years of experience in financial services distribution and manufacturing, previously serving for three years as head of World Financial Group, which is part of Transamerica. He also was CEO of Transamerica Financial Advisors Inc. for seven years and held other leadership roles with the insurance company.

“We’re excited to welcome Seth to the Abacus team and believe this marks an important step in bridging the gap between the life settlement industry, insurance carriers and wealth management institutions,” Abacus CEO Jay Jackson stated in the announcement. “Abacus continues to maintain positive relationships with life insurance carriers and our goal is to continue collaborating and expanding on these relationships with the help of Seth.”

Miller said in the press release that “Abacus fills a unique need for financially savvy consumers as well as meeting a growing demand from larger institutions.”

He added that “Abacus leads the way as the only public company of its kind.”

The company went public on Nasdaq June 29 in a de-SPAC with East Resources Acquisition Co. (ERES). The chairman, CEO and president of East Resources was Terry Pegula, who owns the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills with his wife, Kim.
